THE NEW RELIGION OF THE WEST THAT DISPLACED CHRISTIANITY

secular left is zealous in its "toleration" of
Islam but spurns all things
Christian.
The West has bent over backwards to accommodate Islam. Recently, burka-style hospital gowns were introduced in the U.K., and special times have been set aside for muslim women to swim at Seattle's Meadowbrook pool. Also, in response to Somali muslim cabbies' refusal to permit any passengers who are carrying alcohol, the city of Minneapolis went so far as to propose "no alcohol allowed" cab-top lights to appease muslims, who comprise 50% of the areas cabbies.
Meanwhile the West has censored and ultimately banished Christianity. NBC recently removed all references to God in its airing of Veggie Tales. NBC also planned to televise Madonna's mock crucifixion despite the offense to Christians. "Christmas" is a victim of the left's censorship. The West is officially post-christian.
But rather than create a void in the hearts and minds of the West, Christianity has been replaced by a new religion. "Tolerance", the dogma of humanism, has become the religion of the West. Humanists, aka the Godless left, believe in a person's innate ability to determine right and wrong for themselves. The search for truth and morality is through human means and in furtherance of human interests.
This religion, like all heresies is a corrupt and cheap imitation of Christianity that retains certain characteristics while dispensing with those elements it finds objectionable. It pollutes the "love of neighbor", dispenses with love of God, and abhors absolute truths. In God's place sets human reason. The human mind that has not been renewed by the Spirit of God succumbs to false reason and submits to the spirit of the world. Human reason without the light of grace and truth is highly subjective, prejudicial, relative, and audaciously assumes the inerrancy of man.
Without God-- who is in fact truth-- the dogma of the secular left is cock-eyed, inconsistent and self-contradictory. The west that lauds feminism is now providing Burkas. The West where pornography and sexual license are rampant are now shielding women from the eyes of men. The West that covets nonjudgmental freedom of "choice" in all things is pandering to those who not only judge their lifestyle but detest their "choices". It is supreme hypocrisy that the left tolerates everything in their midst except Christianity.
Ultimately, the secular left is in the same camp as the jihadist. Christianity is not to be tolerated. Strange bedfellows considering the jihadist has no toleration for them. The embrace of Islam is toleration of the intolerant to the detriment of the West.
