The enemies of Christ's Church on earth have infiltrated to the highest levels. And now the enemy himself speaks from within. The gates of hell will put up a supreme challenge that will confuse even the elect if that be possible, but hell will not prevail in the end. Just as Christ suffered His Passion so His Church must do the same in these last days. We must not flee his side but instead ride out this tremendous storm in the Arc --which is His Church. We must place the Blood of the lamb on our doorposts by eating the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. Finally, we must consecrate ourselves and pray heartily to the Blessed Virgin Mary who is the woman clothed with the sun and who will crush the head of the serpent. As Fr John Hardon, S.J., used to say, "Ordinary Catholics will not survive this age". I hasten to add those who have placed themselves outside the Catholic Church will suffer the worst confusion. Immaculate Heart of Mary pray for your children and the Church.

VATICAN CITY, Oct 24 (Reuters) - - The Vatican called on Monday for the establishment of a "global public authority" and a "central world bank" to rule over financial institutions that have become outdated and often ineffective in dealing fairly with crises.

The document from the Vatican's Justice and Peace department should please the "Occupy Wall Street" demonstrators and similar movements around the world who have protested against the economic downturn.

"Towards Reforming the International Financial and Monetary Systems in the Context of a Global Public Authority," was at times very specific, calling, for example, for taxation measures on financial transactions.

"The economic and financial crisis which the world is going through calls everyone, individuals and peoples, to examine in depth the principles and the cultural and moral values at the basis of social coexistence," it said.

It condemned what it called "the idolatry of the market" as well as a "neo-liberal thinking" that it said looked exclusively at technical solutions to economic problems.

"In fact, the crisis has revealed behaviours like selfishness, collective greed and hoarding of goods on a great scale," it said, adding that world economics needed an "ethic of solidarity" among rich and poor nations.

"If no solutions are found to the various forms of injustice, the negative effects that will follow on the social, political and economic level will be destined to create a climate of growing hostility and even violence, and ultimately undermine the very foundations of democratic institutions, even the ones considered most solid," it said.

It called for the establishment of "a supranational authority" with worldwide scope and "universal jurisdiction" to guide economic policies and decisions.

Such an authority should start with the United Nations as its reference point but later become independent and be endowed with the power to see to it that developed countries were not allowed to wield "excessive power over the weaker countries".

Let's all do our part in getting the Irish to vote down the Treaty of Lisbon. I received this publication via email from Modesto Fernandez. Spread the Word.

Irish Society For a Christian Civilization: "Can I approve of the Treaty of Lisbon?

The violation of non-negotiable principles raises a grave question of conscience for
Irish Catholics in the face of this referendum.

A spectre is haunting Europe—it threatens you, the Christian future of your family, of Ireland, and of the Continent. It is a European Union without God and without moral principles.

The Treaty of Lisbon seeks to reform, for you and for all Irish Catholics, the fundamental values which govern the functioning of the European Union. These new values are in stark contrast to the non-negotiable principles given by Pope Benedict XVI.

The Pope insists that, in the construction of Europe, there are three areas in which the Church defends “non-negotiable principles”:

* “the protection of life at

Luxembourg was once almost a 100% Catholic Nation but is now the third EU nation to approve euthanasia. One by one Catholic nations are succumbing to the culture of death and rejecting their Catholic heritage. Radical individualism has replaced the notion that every human life has value and has the potential to become a vessel of God's grace. How different the world would be if the leadership of the Church had taken an active role in condemning the predominant culture and teaching the truths of the faith over the last half century.

This reminds me of an interesting e-mail I received from
Marshall who is considering the priesthood:

“It [the Third Secret] has nothing to do with Gorbachev. The Blessed Virgin was alerting us against apostasy in the Church.” ... Cardinal Oddi, quoted March 17, 1990, in the journal Il Sabato

“In the Third Secret it is foretold, among other things, that the great apostasy in the Church will begin at the top.”
... Cardinal Mario Luigi Ciappi, Pope John Paul II's personal papal theologian, quoted in the journal Catholic, March 2002

Well it began at the top and now we are witnessing the destructive effects at the bottom.

A recent report released by the Institute for Family Policies, a nongovernmental organization which helps to promote family issues, reveals the shocking truth of the status of the family in the EU. Their findings are based on member states' and EU official statistics.

"There are currently more elderly people than children living in the EU, as Europe's young population has decreased by 21 percent - or 23 million – in 25 years, 10 percent of which in the last ten years alone."

One of every 25 EU citizens is over 65 years old. In Italy one out of every five citizens is over 65. Italy also has the least young people at 14.2%.

But the greatest loss of young people is in Spain, where the young population has diminished by 44% from 1990 to 2005.

"Despite these figures, the EU population has grown by 8.2% over the last 27 years, now reaching almost 500 million. This paradox can mostly be explained by an ever increasing number of immigrants coming to the EU."

Acccording to the study, in the last year alone, 75% of the population growth in the EU resulted from Read More...
