From Survivals and New Arrivals by Hilaire Belloc: "There remains... another indirect supporter of Neo-Paganism: a supporter which indeed hates all Paganism but hates the Catholic Church much more...I mean Mohammedan religion: Islam."
"Islam presents a totally different problem from that attached to any other religious body opposed to Catholicism. To understand it we must appreciate its origins, character and recent fate. Only then can we further appreciate its possible or probable future relations with enemies of the Catholic effort throughout Read More...
Monsignor Georg Gaenswein speaks with the full authority of the Catholic Church about a Muslim domination of Europe.
He made it clear that Europe's Christian roots are under threat from a resurgent Islam.
“Attempts to Islamise the West should not be brushed off ...And the danger for the identity of Europe, which is linked to that, should not be ignored out of wrong-headed respect.”
He also spoke of Islam not being a single force but a religion of extremes, with extremists who "turn to rifles for their goals".
His comments come just a year after the newly appointed Pope enraged Muslims worldwide with a speech linking Islam with violence.
It led to churches being burned in the West Bank, a nun being shot dead in a Somalian hospital and the Iranian president accusing him of being in league with the US president, George Bush, to "repeat the Crusades" of old.
But Mgr Gaenswein has defended Pope Benedict's speech, saying it was an attempt by the Pontiff to "act against a certain naivety".
Vatican watchers say this is clearly aimed at western governments who bend over backwards to accommodate Muslims at cost to their own native Christian cultures."
From Telegraph.co.uk: "In France, people go on too much about the glory of motherhood," Maier has said. "I thought it would be fun to take a dig at the myth that having children Read More...
In the Rhine Valley city of Mannheim, the glittering minaret of Germany's biggest mosque overshadows what was once the region's most vibrant church, testifying to Muslims' new confidence as Christian churches are closing down.
Mannheim is not unique. Across Europe, the Continent's fastest-growing religion is establishing its public presence after decades in basements and courtyards, changing not only the architectural look of cities, but also their social fabrics.
Hailed by many as a sign of Muslim integration, the phenomenon is also feared as evidence Read More...
POPE'S "CONTROVERSIAL" STATEMENT ON PROTESTANTISM REVEALS THE NECESSITY OF THE BODY AND BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST
"Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Who so eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him." John 6: 53-58
I have encountered more than a few Protestants in my life who erroneously believed that they receive the actual Body and Blood of Jesus at their communion service. They were genuinely surprised to find that their church rejected the belief in the true presence of Jesus and believed instead that He was only present "spiritually". In most cases this confusion involved a fallen away Catholic. Given the clear words of scripture, without question, many have been decieved with half-truths and/or the topic has been purposefully avoided in churches that feed on fallen away Catholics. The recent issuance of a Vatican document affirming the centrality of the Catholic Church clarifies, with precision, this confusion, and dilineates those who do, and do not possess Jesus in the Read More...
"According to Ferrin, being raised by homosexuals would not allow the children the right to the proper environment to which they were entitled.
“It is understood that (a parent’s) drug addiction, child abuse, prostitution, belonging to a satanic sect or heterosexual affair would negatively affect the children and serve as a reason for a change of custody,” he said. “Well, it’s the same with homosexuality.”
"[Ferrin] who heard the case at a court in the eastern region of Murcia, also said the woman could keep custody of the children if she found another male partner.
"In his ruling, Ferrin criticized recent national laws against domestic violence and in favour of gay marriage, as well as legislation liberalising child custody. He claimed that the laws were “a mistake by the parliament controlled by the ruling party” in reference to the governing Socialists."

I hardly find my thoughts on Jesus to be profound but here goes nevertheless--five things I love about Jesus:
1. I love Jesus because He blessed me with the most wonderful, holy, and saintly parents whose main goal for their children has always been to see them obtain heaven. I was further blessed by God with a wonderful husband who reveres truth and sacrifices his utmost for his family.
2. I love Jesus because His death gave me an opportunity to join Him for eternity in heaven and because He continues to offer Himself for me at every Mass. I love Him because He has given my children the richness and beauty of the Tridentine Mass which I was so sorely missing in my youth.
3. I love Jesus because He did not leave us alone when He ascended to Read More...
“[T]he jihadists constantly portray themselves as the true voice of Islam, and the moderates have never mounted an adequate comeback". “There is no true Islam, there is no pope of Islam, but the eight classical schools of Islam all teach warfare against unbelievers. We deceive ourselves if we think [violence] is just something that’s manufactured by the Wahhabis and not present in Islam in general. They teach it but they certainly didn’t invent it.”
As to the growth and spread of Islam in Europe he states:
“There will be civil war in Europe...The European citizenry, for the most part, are not ready to accept Islamic law and there will be armed conflicts. Across Europe there seems to be one opinion among the elite and one among the people; the mainstream political parties are going to have to start representing this, otherwise they’re going to be shunted aside by the neo-fascists.”
“Fascism lasted 25 years, Communism for 75; Islam is 1,400 years old, the imperative to make war against unbelievers is 1,400 years old and they believe they are fighting a 1,400-year-old struggle. And jihad will destroy us if we don’t do anything about it.”
“Above all, we shouldn’t fight among ourselves, but against global jihad. If we’re consumed with each other then we don’t stand a chance."
Yes--Christianity must once again speak with one voice against those that seek to destroy civilization. Unlike Islam, there exists in this world "true Christianity". Also unlike Islam, Christianity does have a pope given to us by Christ Himself--which permits the Church to speak with truth and authority. Islam has lasted 1,400 years, Catholicism 2,007 years, Protestantism Read More...
"John Reaney...took the Hereford Diocesan Board of Finance to an employment tribunal after his appointment to the role of youth worker was blocked by the Bishop of Hereford, the Rt Rev Anthony Priddis. Reaney is set to secure substantial compensation after the tribunal judgment, which said: "The respondents discriminated against the claimant on the grounds of sexual orientation.
"During his evidence, Bishop Priddis said he had made clear to Mr Reaney that a person in a committed sexual relationship outside of marriage, whether they were heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual or transgender, would be turned down for the role, which he said was a key appointment within the diocese."
This has been a bad week for Britain and an even worse week for Christianity. A teenager has lost the right to wear a symbol of her Christian faith to school, while a Church has to pay a sodomite damages when it denied him an appointment working with youth. The radical homosexual agenda must muzzle all religion that reminds them of their sin. This will surely be the source of much persecution of the Church in the future. Surely the legalization of homosexual marriage would bring about similar claims against churches that refuse to marry them. Muzzling the church, however, will not muzzle the consciences of those that live a self-loathing, self-destructive homosexual lifestyle.
The 2nd U.S. District Court of Appeals has ruled that spouses of those who have undergone forced abortion and/or sterlization under one-child policies cannot seek asylum.
The court said the immigration reform act of 1996 explicitly protects those who are forced to "abort a pregnancy or to undergo involuntary sterilization, or who has been persecuted for failure or refusal to undergo such a procedure or for other resistance to a coercive population control program." But the Court narrowed the coverage to only those who have been the direct victim of such coercion and excluded the spouse.
For a decade, the Justice Department's immigration courts considered husbands of women forced to undergo abortions or sterilizations to be political refugees in their own right. The protection also extended to women whose Read More...
BRITISH TEENAGER LOSES BATTLE TO WEAR "PURITY RING" --COURT DEFINES "PROPER" EXPRESSIONS OF CHRISTIANITY
A British teen, Lydia Playfoot, has lost her claim in High Court to wear a "purity ring" to school.
Her lawyer had argued that the school, which allows Muslim and Sikh students to wear headscarves and religious bracelets, was violating Lydia's right to "freedom of thought, conscience and religion" under Article 9 of the European Convention on Human Rights.
The court ruled that that the ring was not an integral part of the Christian faith and upheld the school's right to enforce its uniform policy.
Essentially, the pro-Islamic, anti-Christian British government is now defining the permissible expressions of the Christian faith. This denies Christians the right to freely express their faith. This is a blow to Christianity in Britain and brings the Nation a step closer to the formal establishment of Eurabia.
Miss Playfoot stated: "I am very disappointed by the decision this morning by the High Court not to allow me to wear my purity ring to school as an expression of my Christian faith not to have sex outside of marriage."
She said she believed the ruling "will mean that slowly, over time, people such as school governors, employers, political organisations and others will be allowed to stop Christians from publicly expressing and practising their faith".

According to a survey conducted by Der Spiegel magazine, "44 per cent of those questioned saw the Tibetan spiritual and secular leader as a role model, while only 42 per cent attributed the same qualities to the pope".
"The Dalai Lama enjoyed a particularly high popularity rating among the young and better educated, according to the survey by the TNS research organization.
"Half of those questioned in these groups believed the Buddhist leader was able "to provide advice on how to live," according to the study, which showed that Germans found Buddhism a more sympathetic religion than Christianity or Islam.
"Asked what they thought was the "most peaceful religion," 43 per cent opted for Buddhism, while 41 per cent chose Christianity. Only 1 per cent picked Islam."
"The Bavarian-born pope was criticized by German protestants this week for endorsing a Vatican document reaffirming the primacy of the Catholic Church and dismissing other Christian denominations as either "defective" or "not proper churches."
"Secede not from the Church: for nothing is stronger than the church. Thy hope is the Church; thy salvation is the Church; thy refuge is the Church. A new survey of more than 4000 adults reveals that the average American Catholic, or those who profess to be Catholic, have compromised with the culture to the point that many Catholics have lost their spiritual distinctiveness--and need I say--faith. Fr John Hardon used to say that ordinary Catholics would not survive this age--it appears his words are ringing true. The motu proprio could not have come at a better time-it will solidify the cultural distinctiveness that Catholics once possessed and revive true holiness and sanctification in our Church and our world. ``The burqa and niqab are a symbol of oppression of women,'' Wilders told The Associated Press in a telephone interview. He said burqas and the niqab - a full-faced veil with only a slit for the eyes - hindered integration of Muslim women into Dutch society and also posed a security risk.
An Islamic community spokesman, Ayhan Tonca, called Wilders' proposal ``totally out of proportion'' and accused him of seeking to broaden a rift between Muslims and the rest of Dutch society."
Wilders' reasoning sounds like common sense, however, with the dominance of relativism in the West --which renders so many unable Read More...

Italian life expectancy is 78.3 years for men and 84 for women. But more significantly, Italy holds the world record for the highest percentage of what experts call the "old old." One out of every five elderly Italians is over 80.
Where did it all go wrong?
Italy, home to the Vatican and predominantly Catholic, legalized abortion in 1978, and Italians upheld the law in a 1981 referendum, despite fierce opposition by the Vatican to abortion. And Italians have long tended to ignore Read More...
"With donations to the Church from around the world almost doubling and pilgrims pouring into Rome in ever-greater numbers, Vatican watchers are beginning to reassess the two-year-old pontificate of Pope Benedict XVI and noting a positive “Ratzinger effect”.
Cardinal Sergio Sebastiani, head of economic affairs at the Holy See, said that the “remarkable increase” in both donations and numbers of pilgrims showed that there was “a symbiosis, a mutual sympathy between this Pope and Christian people everywhere”.
Presenting the Holy See’s annual budget yesterday, Cardinal Sebastiani noted that not only had it closed last year with a surplus of €2.4 million, partly thanks to diocesan donations, there had also been a “huge jump” in “Peter’s Pence”, the annual church collections given directly to the Pope to use for charity, from $60 million (£30 million) in 2005 to Read More...
Michael Munro, a consultant neonatologist, gave 23 times the normal dose of pancuronium, a muscle relaxant, to the children moments before their deaths, contrary to medical guidelines in an act "tantamount to euthanasia", the GMC was told.
The doctor failed to record his actions in the medical notes of either child.
Dr Munro told Baby X's parents he could give the child a drug but "it was on the verge of what society finds acceptable", the hearing was told.
He then injected the child with 2,000 milligrams of the drug which, he admits, hastened the death of Baby X.
So many will scoff at the fact that this Doctor is facing any ramifications, whatsoever, for his actions--but these are the defining moments of a civilization. Historically Read More...

"Forget the yacht or the holiday home in Tuscany, the latest must-have “status symbol” to measure power and success in Wales could now be a fourth child.
Some of the richest and most powerful people on the planet – the Blairs, the Gores, the Jaggers, and the Pitt-Jolies – have four children.
And social commentators say these “alpha” mums and dads have fuelled a vogue, sending a “virility/fertility” message out to the world as they strive to fill up every available seat of their people carriers.
