We are all witnessing the growing persecution of the Church in what were once Christian nations. These nations are slowly taking on a fascist character that seeks to stamp out religion and religious expression. In Canada a so-called human rights commission is in hot pursuit of truth teller Mark Steyn for Islamophobia and Catholic Insight Magazine for homophobia. In Spain a Protestant is being investigated by the government for attempting to "cure" homosexuality while a Catholic cleric is likewise being investigated for comments that are seen as offending homosexuals.
The pace at which religious hatred is growing is alarming. But this was all prophesied by good and holy men and women throughout the centuries. They all hauntingly repeat that a great chastisement will occur due to the loss of the Faith. The Catholic Church in particular will have much to suffer. Islam is predicted to be used as one instrument of chastisement. But the enemies of Christ Read More...

"[T]he pansexual hedonists of the Netherlands are now in a panic over their nation’s Islamic future. Even the blasé Parisians have begun to wonder whether their nation’s bureaucratically atheist state is acid enough to dissolve the faith of burgeoning immigrants—before the Arabs outbreed, outvote, and expel the residual Frenchmen. The Germans who a generation ago worshiped their race as a pagan god now look on lackadaisically, and welcome the Turk into Europe. To read their children’s future, they may look to the fate of the Christians in Lebanon, or Kosovo —two other lands where the cradle has had its revenge.

Michael Voris is on fire with the faith and is making waves in Detroit and all around the nation. He is a graduate of Notre Dame and a former news anchor with CBS. He gave up his career in television to spread the One True Faith far and wide.
I am personally tired of hearing so many protestants claim that they have a personal relationship with Jesus while denying his words in the Gospel of John chapter 6. There is nothing closer or more personal than eating the flesh of the Son of God who fills us with His life so that we can live with Him eternally.
We need more modern day missionaries like Michael Voris and friends to re-convert Western Civilization and bring it back to Jesus Christ in the most personal way known to man.
From dailymail: Muslim plans to broadcast a loudspeaker call to prayer from a city centre mosque have been attacked by local residents who say it would turn the area into a "Muslim ghetto".
Dozens of people packed out a council meeting to express their concerns over the plans for a two-minute long call to prayer to be issued three times a day, saying that it could drown out the traditional sound of church bells.
But a spokesman for the Central Mosque said that Muslim's also have the right to Read More...
With statements such as the one made this past week by Rowan Williams, the leader of the Church of England, that Christmas is merely a legend-- is there any wonder why the death of this church is near? When the leaders of a church have lost their faith in the word of God, and invite homosexual leadership into its ranks --death is inevitable.
FROM Telegraph: "This means that the established Church has lost its place as the nation's most popular Christian denomination after more than four centuries of unrivalled influence following the Reformation.

I believe it is gravely important that we be aware of what has been foretold. So much of what we hear about Islam and its spread into Europe is political in nature. I am certain that a great many of you view this movement of Islam into Europe as more than simply a historical or a political event. But rather, recognize the spiritual significance of this occurrence in salvation history. The loss of faith and apostasy not only in the world, but also within Christianity subjects the West to a great chastisement. When a nation legalizes abortion and promotes artificial contraception, and when homosexuality enters God's Church you can be certain that He will not Read More...
CATHOLIC MAGAZINE UNDER INVESTIGATION BY CANADIAN HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION OVER COMPLAINT FROM HOMOSEXUAL
From Hilary White via LIFESITE : "Toronto's Catholic Insight magazine has reported they stand accused in an HRC complaint of "targeting homosexuals".
"Catholic Insight is a Catholic political and cultural general interest magazine that regularly and accurately expounds orthodox Catholic teaching, based on the Catechism of the Catholic Church, on homosexuality as well as harmful consequences to individual persons and society of the active homosexual "lifestyle".
"The magazine now reveals that Rob Wells, a homosexual activist associated with the Pride Read More...
Mark Steyn, author of America Alone, is being investigated by the Canadian Human Rights Commission and the British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal in response to complaints about an excerpt from his book that was published in the Canadian journal Maclean’s. The complaints were filed by the Canadian Islamic Congress. They claim the article “subjects Canadian Muslims to hatred and contempt,” and was “flagrantly Islamophobic.”
This indeed is a new day for a Nation that calls itself free. Under an atheistic secular regime such as Canada, truth must be stifled and the messengers of truth imprisoned because the truth makes the enemies of Christ e.g., sodomites and muslims uncomfortable about themselves. The enemies of Christ are one when it comes to silencing the truth.
From Robert Spencer via Human Events: "To be sure, [Steyn's] article was pretty strong stuff. Here’s Read More...
A good movie is a rare thing in our day. But I can recommend Bella as a quality Catholic film through and through. It is a rare thing today when the main character is truly a hero, does not challenge your notions of right and wrong, and yet remains interesting. The main character does not compromise his beliefs in the least bit. He is an inspiring and exemplary man in every respect. The story itself reveals how men can counter the culture of death and the lies of feminism by being truthful, honest and self-sacrificing gentlemen.
This movie also renewed my gratefulness for the infusion of Catholicism into our culture from immigrants from Mexico and Latin America. So many in America condemn their growing presence but they bring with them a deep unadulterated faith. This movie is a product of that faith. There are so few modern movies that we can enjoy today--go and enjoy this one before it disappears from the theaters.
Why has the celebration of the birth of Christ been adulterated to such an extent that we act as if we are deserving of so much more materially than He had on His day of birth?
Christ "so loved poverty that He chose for His mother not a rich and powerful queen, but a poor and humble Virgin. He willed to be born, not in a palace, but in a bleak stable, the manger of which, covered with a little straw, was His only couch." The Sinner's Guide, Venerable Louis of Granada.
The Pope also recently cautioned the world about materialism: Too many children are growing up in a world saturated with "false models of happiness" and being lured by unscrupulous adults into the "dead-end street of consumerism".

A recent article focusing on the return to tradition in all religions appeared in U.S. News and World Report. It seems that it is not just Catholicism that is returning to tradition-- every major religion is undergoing "a return to tradition and orthodoxy, to past practices, observances, and customary ways of worshiping".
One could have guessed that this would eventually take place since the last 50 years have seen Christianity stripped of all mystery tradition and even orthodoxy. From Catholicism, to the store front inner city Baptist church, to the mega churches that resemble stadiums, we see a "Starbucks effect" where Christianity has became homogenized. The focus has been on feelings and emotions of congregants rather than the sacrifice of Jesus.
But the generation that ushered in the fad of barren and individualistic Christianity is aging and its rebellion against tradition seems like nothing more than an ugly trend to the younger generations. This elderly generation however will not concede loss quietly...

From Timesonline: "Baris Kaska, a lawyer in Izmir who specialises in European law, said that he had lodged a complaint in a local court against Inter Milan, which last month played the Istanbul team Fenerbahce in a Champions League match at the San Siro stadium in Milan. The Inter players wore a new strip - a white shirt with a giant red cross on it - marking the club's centenary.
Mr Kaska said he was not only seeking damages but was also appealing to Uefa to annul the match, which Inter won 3-0."
“That cross only brings one thing to mind - the symbol of the Templar Knights, stated Kaska. It made me think immediately of the bloody days of the past. While I was watching the game I felt profound grief in my soul.” Kaska told the Spanish newspaper La Vanguardia that the cross on the uniform symbolised “Western racist superiority over Islam”.

One company called Wayne Enterprises, a California-based company, is marketing "holy water" for consumption. They claim the water is blessed in a warehouse by an Anglican or Roman Catholic priest. "It would be a grave error...to say that Christ has no authority whatever in civil affairs, since, by virtue of the absolute empire over all creatures committed to him by the Father, all things are in his power...Thus the empire of our Redeemer embraces all men. Hilaire Belloc said "Islam is apparently unconvertable. The missionary efforts made by great Catholic orders which have been occupied in trying to turn Mohammedans into Christians for nearly 400 years have everywhere wholly failed...we have had hardly any effect in converting individual Mohammedans..." Hilaire Belloc, The Great Heresies.
An interesting article by Spengler of the Asia Times seems to answer the WHY of Belloc's statement. He points out that the god of Islam is "all transcendent". He is not subject to the natural law or even his own laws. Everything is random and subject to the whimsy of allah in the mind of a muslim. He controls every minute aspect of the world in accord with nothing other than his own ever-changing and unpredictable will. The arbitrariness of the god of Islam is much closer to atheism than it is to the God of Christianity and Judaism.
Spengler states: "...[A]ll the Muslim apostates whose voices we hear are atheists - not only Hirsi Ali, but also Salman Rushdie, the celebrated author of The Satanic Verses, the Syrian poet Adonis, and the pseudonymous Ibn Warraq, author of Why I am not a Muslim and several compendia of Koranic criticism.
"Why do Muslim apostates gravitate towards atheism? That is not true of other religions. Many Jewish converts achieved prominence in 20th-century Christianity - for example, the recently deceased Cardinal Read More...
While the world grapples with the depths of sin and darkness, God is pouring His grace upon the earth to restore and transform His Church. It is the only thing that is capable of transforming the world from a death seeking suicidal culture to one that reveres light, life and truth. The last 50 years have seen the Bride of Christ beaten down by scandals, divisions, and disobedience-- leaving her often-times beyond recognition. But the tide has turned. The truth in all its splendor is irresistable in dark days. And the truth contained in the Latin Mass will be a beacon in the world where nothing remains sacred and everything is empty and mundane.
ZENIT recently conducted an interview with David Hartline, author of "The Tide is Turning Toward Catholicism".
"Instead of turning away from the faith and embracing the relativism of society, more and more youths are actually embracing the teachings of the Church, says Catholic author David Hartline."
"Many have asked me since the release of my book earlier this year if this tide of good news will continue or if it just a temporary cause for joy.
"The answer is that this tide continues to gather strength. Good news is abounding in the Church."
"When the young gravitated toward Pope John Paul II," said Hartline, "many skeptics said this was only temporary. When Cardinal Ratzinger was elected Pontiff, many said the young would leave.
"However, just Read More...

I am becoming convinced that Secularism is a form of insanity. Fr John Hardon S.J. said "it is sheerest sanity to adore God. And is insanity to not recognize that except for God we wouldn’t exist..." The effects of this insanity are being played out before our very eyes in Britain. Only insanity, devoid of grace, could explain the suicidal self-loathing that causes a people to condemn its own heritage in favor of a civilization that is bent on its own domination and destruction.

THE ACCEPTANCE AND NORMALIZATION OF HOMOSEXUALITY WILL LEAD TO AN INCREASE IN THE NUMBER OF HOMOSEXUALS
The increasing acceptance of homosexuality is not only indicative of our moral decline but it also has the potential to "convert" many to full or part time homosexuality. Our children are now exposed to a vast amount of pro-homosexual indoctrination by the sex-obsessed media, by public schools and by peers. All of this exposure is capable of spreading the sin of sodomy like wildfire throughout our culture. This is clearly substantiated by recent census related statistics:
In the state of Utah alone: "According to U.S. Census figures, only 401 gay and lesbian couples declared themselves in 1990. In 2000, that number jumped dramatically to 3,370. The latest findings...reveal 6,503 out gay couples, an increase of over 1,600 percent since 1990.
"Overall, the study showed an increase of 437 percent nation-wide from 1990 to 2006."
"Census Bureau figures showing continuing increases in the number of same-sex couples track with other surveys showing that more Americans than ever before are identifying as lesbian, gay and bisexual." from Qsaltlake
Acceptance of homosexuality clearly emboldens those who are on the fence or simply curious to take the plunge into the abyss.
If the statistics aren't convincing how about biblical proof that homosexuality has the potential of spreading among the populace? Recall the story of the destruction of Sodom. Before God destroyed the city, Abraham approached God and pleaded with Him not to destroy the good with the wicked. God relented and stated that He would not destroy Sodom if 50 good men could be found. But Abraham, knowing that this might be an impossible task, convinced God to reduce the number of men to a mere 10.
As the story goes- 10 good men could not be found in Sodom. However, before God destroyed the city He sent His angels to assess the level of depravity. As Lot fed God's angels his home was surrounded by Sodomites:
