From Dailymail: "A school told a child to remove a Christian cross she was wearing even though it lets Sikh children wear bangles as part of their religion.
Lauren Grimshaw-Brown was told to take off a necklace with a cross on it because of health and safety fears.
But the eight-year-old's furious mother has accused the school of double standards because they allow children following other faiths to wear jewellery on religious grounds.
The mother-of-two says Lauren and brother Callan, five, have always worn crosses at St Peter's CE School in Chorley, Lancashire.
'We're a Christian family and my children wear the necklaces underneath their tops,' she said.
'On Thursday Lauren was told by a teacher to take it off because apparently they're not allowed to wear jewellery.
'I could understand it if it was a fashion accessory or a High School Musical necklace, but it's part of our faith.'
Mrs Grimshaw-Brown complained directly to the headteacher, Helen Wright, who referred the matter to the school's chairman of governors, Father Atherton. He upheld the ban.
Mrs Grimshaw-Brown added: 'I received a letter in my child's reading folder. It said that if she had been a Sikh child she would be allowed to wear bangles because it's part of their religion.
'I've got absolutely no problem with any other religion wearing bangles or another item of jewellery, but why can't my daughter wear a necklace with a cross? It's a church-led school."

"Het Mekka van Calvijn" (Calvin's Mecca) is the name of the work created by the Moroccan artist Aziz Bekkaoui. It is a cube measuring 4 by 4 by 4 metres, consisting entirely of reflective glass. The cube apparently refers to the Kaaba, the sacred central building in the courtyard of the Great Mosque in the Islamic place of pilgrimage, Mecca in Saudi Arabia.

The Government says condom cards reduce teenage pregnancy and the spread of sexually transmitted diseases. It also claims the scheme persuades boys to take more responsibility for contraception.
But family campaigners say it encourages teenage boys to be sexually active before they are ready."

Pro-abortionists ignore the fact that the value of human life in America has been decimated due to the acceptance of abortion itself. Our culture has become a culture of death which formally began through the acceptance and legalization of contraception and abortion. When a society legally permits the killing of innocent life its entire foundation is shaken and the rule of law is undermined. That is what killed Tiller and that is what will ultimately destroy our nation.
So eventually they will likely outlaw truthful speech about abortion. Any such talk will be seen as hate-speech and a violation of a woman's "health care rights". Mr Rao, who has 40 years' nursing experience, said: 'The "patient" told me that her doctor had informed her that she would not live long and this had created stress.
'I called on my spiritual point of view and told her it would be wise to go to church to ease her stress and if God wished she might live a little longer.'
It is understood the 'patient' did not feel his advice was sympathetic or suitable.
The course organiser, Leicestershire and Rutland Organisation for the Relief of Suffering, then sent a report to Mr Rao's employer, University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, where he had worked as a bank staff nurse for four years.
He was later dismissed for breaching the Nursing and Midwifery Council's code of conduct on respecting a patient's dignity.

To my great surprise and delight, I recently discovered that he had unveiled himself in an article entitled: "And Spengler is...". He is David P. Goldman and he has revealed his true identity in order to take on the position of Associate Editor at First Things (www.firstthings.com).
Now I don't know if Mr Goldman has yet become a Catholic but I am confident that he will eventually find the Church irresistible.

Here is an excellent story sent to me by Roger in New Zealand about the recent Euthanization of the last Catholic Monarch in Luxembourg. As you may recall the Grand Duke was ousted and stripped of his constitutional powers because of his refusal to approve a new Euthanasia Law.

ON THE “SO-CALLED” CATHOLICS WHO PLAY VAIN
NOVELTIES: "Hear this
maxim, O you, Catholics full of temerity, who so
quickly adopt the ideas and the language of your time,
you who speak of reconciling the faith and of
reconciling the Church with the modern spirit and with
the new law. And you who accept with so much confidence
the most dangerous pursuits of what our age so
pridefully labels "Science," see to what extent you are
straying from the program set out by the great Apostle,
"O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust,
avoiding the profane novelties of words, and
oppositions of knowledge falsely so-called" (I Tim.
6:20). But take heed. With such temerities, one is soon
led farther than he first had thought. And in placing
themselves on the slope of profane novelties—in obeying
the currents of so-called science—many have lost the
Faith.
